Okay I am going to try and catch you all up on some recent fun times in the lives of the Vitales. Our lives are about to change forever [again] since our third baby is due Friday. Since we stopped using this blog almost exactly a year ago, I figure why not pick it up again now?! So I shall attempt to keep it up this time. :-)

Back on New Year’s Day while Jonathan and I were visiting Chicago he took me out to Portillo’s (Chicago dogs, etc.), and afterwards we went to see my friend Tami at her work, which is an art center gallery. When we opened the door to that gallery, I heard 30+ of the best people in the world yelling “Surprise!!” It was a great feat for Jonathan to truly surprise me and plan a party out-of-state and get all those lovely people there. I felt overwhelmingly loved and cared for.  I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

This past weekend, we drove up to kansas city to meet up with our good friends Joel and Kelly Corzine and their beautiful baby daughter Ruby.

Kansas City is a beautiful town and if you ever get a chance to go their, then go. I went so far as to call it the Portland (OR) of the midwest. We hung out with our friends (mainly at the Plaza) all day Saturday and then we went to church
here:

The church building was amazing inside and the worship gathering itself was perfect.

We spent the day on a quest for pumpkins, cider, donuts, and the perfect 1 year old ezra picture. so of course that led the three of us, along with our EU buddies Meagan, Gwen and Nick, to downtown Republic, MO. They had a pumpkin festival (you can see the winner in the slide show linked below). That was fun. There was no cider, donuts or decent pumpkins to be found though. We ended up with crappy cider and donuts from Walmart, but we did find a pretty sweet pumpkin stand on the side of the road. Ezra was going crazy over the pumpkins and we just started shooting (digital film). The end result was this:
